Jimmy — an AI assistant for Todoist in Telegram

Jimmy is an AI assistant in Telegram that works on top of your Todoist: it reads your tasks, marks them by the CALM method and every morning brings you the Day Focus — three tasks. The tasks stay in your own Todoist. Jimmy does not replace the task manager; it solves a different problem — not "where do I keep my tasks" but which of them to do today.

What Jimmy does with your Todoist

ReadsWrites — only once you say so
Active tasks, dates, priorities, labels, projectsCreates the tasks you dictated or typed in Telegram
What is overdue and what has been postponedSets the CALM marking with labels and priorities
The history of closed tasksMoves dates at the evening Closing

The last word is always yours: Jimmy proposes — you decide. Bulk changes never happen without confirmation.

How the four axes map onto Todoist fields

The method asks for no new tools — the four coordinates map onto the native fields of Todoist:

AxisIn Todoist
Level — what happens if you don't do itThe native priority: P1 — Key · P2 — Important · P3 — Regular · no priority — the Freezer
Change — moves you forward or holds your positionLabels Grow / Stay
Area — work or lifeLabels Work / Life
Mode — whose next move it isLabels Do / Delegated / Waiting

Your own labels and projects are left alone. The marking is done by Jimmy — what it needs from you is nods, not work.

A day with Jimmy and Todoist

  • Morning. Jimmy reads the list, marks what is new and brings the Day Focus — three tasks by the 2+1 rule. The next three are the Bonus.
  • During the day. New tasks go in by text or by voice straight from Telegram — Jimmy puts them into Todoist already marked.
  • Evening. The Closing: what is done, what carries over. Zero overdue by morning, right there in the tracker.

What stays yours

  • The tasks. They live in your Todoist account, not in a Jimmy database. Switch the assistant off and the list stays complete and marked.
  • The access. The connection runs on a personal Todoist token that you can revoke at any moment.
  • The data. The analysis runs on the Claude API (Anthropic) — the data is not used for model training. We store the minimum: settings and context. Details in the privacy policy (in Russian).

Frequently asked

Do I need a paid Todoist?

No. A free account is enough: the method needs priorities, labels and dates — all of them are in the free plan. No account yet? We will set one up together when you connect — it takes a couple of minutes.

I use Notion, Asana or plain notes. Will it work?

Right now Jimmy works on top of Todoist. Integrations with other systems are on the roadmap. Tell us which one you use — it affects the order.

Will Jimmy move my tasks into its own database?

No. Jimmy does not store your tasks and does not make you migrate — the list stays in Todoist. It solves a different problem: not "where do I keep my tasks" but which of them to do today.

What happens to my projects and labels?

Nothing. The project structure stays yours and your personal labels are untouched. The CALM marking is added on top — with the labels Grow/Stay, Work/Life, Do/Delegated/Waiting and the native priorities.

What if I mark a task wrong?

Marking is nods, not philosophy: the axes have defaults (Stay · Regular · Do) and a three-second rule. A mistake is easy to fix tomorrow, and the method does not break over one inaccurate label.
