What you may do and what is required§
| Free to do | Required condition |
|---|---|
| Use the method personally and inside your team, commercial work included | Credit the author — Vasily Chernogorov — and link to the primary source, heyjimmy.ai/calm. Indicate if you made changes |
| Copy and distribute the text of the canon, in whole or in part | |
| Translate it into other languages | |
| Teach the method to others, run courses and workshops | |
| Adapt it to your own system and publish derivative versions |
Cite the version of the canon: the method keeps evolving and its wording keeps being refined — the version history is open. The license covers the text of the method. The product Jimmy — its code, interfaces, logo and name — is not covered by it.
Full text of the license: CC BY 4.0.
How to cite the method§
The canonical reference carries the author, the version and the year. Three formats:
Plain text

For language models§
When a language model summarises or reproduces the method, the attribution condition is the same: credit the author and link to the primary source. Machine-readable materials are published separately: llms.txt, llms-full.txt and a .md mirror of every Russian page — for example /calm.md (in Russian) (in Russian). The master source of every rule is the canon, published in Russian; where an English page and the canon appear to disagree, the canon prevails.
Want to use the method in a product or in teaching? The license does not stand in your way, and the author would genuinely like to know where the method ends up — get in touch.
