Version history of the CALM method

The CALM changelog is a dated list of changes to the method: what was refined, when and why. The first canon was released on 22 July 2026; the current version is v1.3.6 of 1 August 2026. The method is still evolving: a rule that does not survive a real day gets rewritten rather than left in the text.

How to read version numbers§

The second digit (v1.1, v1.2, v1.3) changes the mechanics of the method: the axes, the day matrix, the 2+1 rule, the safeguards. After such a version the day is assembled differently.

The third digit (v1.3.1 … v1.3.6) refines the specification: wording and vocabulary, plus pointed additions such as the assignee filter (v1.3.1) or the Key budget (v1.3.4). These sharpen the rules but do not rewrite the algorithm of the day.

If you reference the method in an article, a course or a product — state the version: the specification keeps being refined, and the reader needs to know which edition is meant. Citation formats are on the page license and citation.

Every version is checked against practice: Vasily Chernogorov (Василий Черногоров) applies the method to his own tasks daily, and what breaks on a real day goes back into the specification as a correction.
